Lindsay Lohan walking a fine line
Tuesday, May 08, 2007
Publicists are not sure what to do about Lindsay Lohan and the opening of "Georgia Rule". Her self-destructive behavior could easily do damage to the films opening.

Unfortunately Lindsay is under a microscope and people are focusing on her acting skills rather than the movie itself.

Is Lindsay Lohan a good actress? How have her films done?

Let's see...
"Confessions of a Teenage Drama Queen" did ok
"Mean Girls" did great ... similair to her real life in some ways
"Herbie: Fully Loaded" did ok
"Just My Luck" tanked
"A Prairie Home Companion" did ok

So, the only film that seems to have done real well for her was "Mean Girls". Lindsay's much-publicized party-girl image remains (at least for now) attached to her, whether it's part of her character or not. The fact that Lohan plays a rebellious teen in "Georgia Rule" may well work to her advantage.

Hopefully Lindsay can move past this party-girl stage or else she'll fade like many actors have and be featured on "E! True Hollywood Story" or some kind of child actors gone bad series.

I'd prefer to see her fade. I don't think I'm the only one who is sick of this little brat. I'd never pay to see a movie she's in, it'd only fund her drug/alcohol/shopping habits.

The paparazzi won't let her fade...until they find some other wild girl to fixate on maybe. I want to see more of Scarlett and Jessica Alba!
